The Montreal Canadiens will play again.

Rene Bourque scored three times and Dustin Tokarski made 23 saves as Montreal avoided elimination by beating the Rangers 7-4 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference final. The Habs now trail the series 3-2.

Former Swift Current Bronco Dale Weise had two assists in the game to bring his playoff point total to seven, and was also on the receiving end of a blindside, open ice hit from Rangers defenceman John Moore. Weise was wobbly when he got up and went for treatment, but returned to action.

Moore was given a major penalty and was ejected from the game, and he will have a hearing with NHL Player Safety today to determine if more discipline is needed.

The Game 6 is back in New York on Thursday.

NHL Playoff action tonight has the LA Kings visiting Chicago, looking to wrap up their Western Conference Final series in five games and eliminate the defending champion Blackhawks (6:00pm, CBC).
