The federal government is purchasing the Trans Mountain pipeline for $4.5 billion, and that doesn't include construction costs.
There was a lot of criticism coming from the Saskatchewan government about whether the federal government was doing enough to make the pipeline happen, and questions still remain.
This morning Premier Scott Moe sent out a tweet with concerns about how things might proceed.
I hope this works. But today’s news that Trudeau govt buying @TransMtn leaves many Q's:

- How does govt ownership change BC situation?
- $4.5B is only existing KM assets. How much more do taxpayers foot for construction?
- What signal does this purchase send to private investors? https://t.co/mDiwNCahob
