Christmas came early this year for the Swift Current Canadian Mental Health Association thanks to a generous donation from Innovation Credit Union.

Jacqui Williams, Executive Director with the Swift Current CMHA details their reaction to the donation.

"We were very excited to get the donation from the Credit Union. It makes a big difference to a small organization when community leaders like Innovation give back to us."

We were very fortunate that CMHA was one of the groups they chose to donate to says Williams.

The funds will be going towards CMHA programming.

Williams reflects on the importance of the donation especially this year.

"It has been a tough year for all the non-profits because of course with COVID-19 it's very difficult to fundraise. So we are trying to navigate this new normal but non-profits need fundraising or donations to operate."

In response to the holiday season, Williams says they were busy not with their regular programming but with their meal program and their vocational program was also very busy over the holiday season.
