35 kg of the cocaine that was seized in a major drug bust

 

 

Three men will be in a Swift Current courtroom on Wednesday to face charges after a major, multi-agency drug investigation launched earlier this year.

Troy Ernest Swanson, age 25, and William Bruce Larsen, age 51, both from Coldstream, BC will join Brock Ernest Palfrey, age 25, from Silverstar, BC on charges of importing cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of trafficking, conspiracy to import Cocaine, and participating in a criminal organization.

Ronald Charles Learning, age 28, from Golden, BC had been previously charged and will be in court on November 7th.

367 kilograms of cocaine, worth an estimated $16.5 million, was seized in total by the Regina Integrated Drug Unit, the highest amount in the Drug Unit's history. They were caught outside of Swift Current back in March of 2010 with 151 kg of that total amount. An estimated $1,000,000 worth of ecstacy was also seized, along with $340,000 in cash.
