The Saskatchewan Party continues to call for the resignation of Culture, Youth, and Recreation Minister Glenn Hagel.

Hagel recently spoke in response to the issue of who knew and when roughly $6,000 went missing 15 years ago due to an employee altering cheques to higher amounts and then pocketing the extra cash, saying he has no plans to step down and will continue to serve the government and people of Saskatchewan.

Last week, Hagel said a letter from a former caucus employee confessing to stealing the money was given to police right away. But, late Friday Regina's police chief called a news conference to say that was not the case, in fact, it didn't happen for two years.

Hagel plans to stand up in the house and apologize for giving inaccurate information today.

On Saturday, caucus chief of staff Jim Fodey resigned, after accusations from the opposition that they had covered it up.
