Campers in the Cypress Hills this weekend are probably going to get a nasty surprise from Mother Nature.

A snowfall warning is now out for the park and surrounding area. Environment Canada is expecting up to 30 centimetres of heavy, wet snow to fall over the hills on Sunday.

The Weather Agency says the snow is coming from an intense low pressure system that will also bring a significant amount of rain to the southwest. Up to 25 millimetres of rainfall is expected in Swift Current from tonight through Sunday before it changes to snow in the evening and eventually tapers off Sunday night.
