The Swift Current Ag & Ex wrapped up 2012 and looked ahead to the new year with their annual general meeting Tuesday night at Kinetic Exhibition Park.

"We're continuing to follow our mandate by providing entertainment for the community through all our programming," said Tracey Stevenson with the Ag & Ex. "Through our Discover the Farm show, our Ranchman's Ridin' and Recitin', our spring trade show, Doc's Town, and then, of course, Frontier Days."

2013 looks to be an exciting year for the association, with the 75th Anniversary of Frontier Days boasting an all-star musical lineup, and next weekend's Step Into Spring Home and Leisure Trade Show all booked up, but Stevenson says there are other events to look forward to this year.

"We have the Discover the Farm Show coming up April 19th and 20th," she added. "The 19th is for the school-aged kids, and we have lots of schools registered already to tour the buildings to learn about agriculture and farm animals, and then Saturday's open to the public."

The Ag and Ex will also host this year's convention of the Saskatchewan Association of Agricultural Societies and Exhibitions, with representatives from community exhibition groups coming from all over the province to Swift Current on Friday and Saturday.
