Swift Current City Hall is flying a new flag alongside the Canadian flag.

The Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation was present as they raised the Foundation flag with Swift Current Mayor, Al Bridal.

The flag was raised in anticipation of the upcoming Radiothon and 'We Care for Healthcare' Week.

Presiding over the flag-raising on behalf of the Foundation as Chris Martens, executive director of the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation.

"It's one way that we can make sure that we recognize how important the healthcare workers are in Swift Current and the surrounding southwest," said Martens.

'We Care for Healthcare' Week has been a running event for the last four years. It seeks to highlight and celebrate individuals in the field of health care.

The upcoming Radiothon this year will enable the Foundation to further provide support to the medical community in Siwft Current. The money they raise this year will be going towards a new Thulium Fibre Laser at the Cypress Regional Hospital.

"We just want to thank everyone in the community for the continued support here at the Foundation," said Martens. "We can't wait... to see if we can hit our fundraising target once again this year."

The Radiothon will be taking place October 26 and 27, which you can catch live on any Golden West radio station in Swift Current.
