As the weather got hotter this past week, and is expected to get hot again this weekend, more people have been taking a dip in the Fairview Pool.

City Aquatic Superintendent Miriam Hornell says, even though the weather has been unpredictable at times, it's been a successful year at the pool.  She is happy that it has been getting so much use this summer.

Hornell says they've been busy with a number of events, such as competitions and swimming lessons, which have been very successful this year.  She adds that they look forward to continuing the lessons at the Aquatic Centre this fall.

The Fairview Pool is expected to close after the Labour Day long weekend, as Hornell says the pool will be open for one last day on the holiday Monday, and will close September 2nd.  The Aquatic Centre is then scheduled to open September 3rd.
