He says they will appeal.

Canada's new Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz is telling us today that the Federal government will appeal a Federal Court ruling that overturned new Canadian Wheat Board Regulations.

Of course, the new rules would have allowed Western Canadian farmers to choose how they market their barley at the beginning of this month.

Ritz says a significant majority of barley producers had been looking forward to making their own marketing decisions, pointing to the fact that nearly 30,000 barley farmers voted, and 62 percent voted in favour of marketing choice in the barley plebiscite.
