We've had a pretty nice summer when all is considered, and as we get started into fall, that appears to have an upside.

According to Jack Burnett, editor with the old Farmer's Almanac, we'll see some moisture to end the month with what he calls a "goldielocks October" not too cold, not too hot and not too wet.

"It will start going back to the old normal prairie winter, it won't be as extreme as last year, for better or for worse." Burnett said, "As far as the winter goes, it won't be the same as last winter, we do think its going to be slightly warmer, dryer and the snowfall a little bit less." He added.

Burnett also added we'll see some cold temperatures come December, but believes it won't be as extreme as in past winters.
