The STF announced this morning that they will temporarily be withdrawing noon-hour supervision and extracurricular activities from all schools in the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division.

The three-day province-wide mandate is set to take place from Monday, March 11 - March 13.

This includes sports, field trips, clubs, grad prep, student travel, and other activities.

President of the STF, Samantha Becotte, notes that teachers don't enjoy the job action but that these measures are vital.

"We have said on many occasions that a new collective agreement is within reach; the government simply has to come to the bargaining table with a mandate to negotiate class size and complexity," said Becotte.

The STF are providing extra time for families to make necessary arrangements although they are only legally required to provide 48 hours of notice.
