2008 was a positive year economically for Saskatchewan.

Throughout the year there many big announcements coming from the government.  Premier Brad Wall says it's a credit to the economy and the people of the province that the government was able to announce the economic plan which included a 40% debt reduction, the largest single year tax cut in history, and a number of major infrastructure announcements.  Wall says another big announcement was the Growth and Financial Security Account, which is money on-hand that the government will be able to use through tougher economic times.

Wall thinks local infrastructure developments will be a big stimulus for the economy in 2009.
