RCMP forces were busy throughout the long weekend.

Swift Current Regional Traffic Services released the results of their Canada Road Safety Week and long weekend enforcement blitz, where they targeted high-risk driving behaviour.

One-hundred-forty-six charges were issued, including three criminal driving charges, 12 cell phone violations, 21 speeding tickets, 44 seatbelt violations, and one 30-day driving suspension.

One of the major incidents included a police chase in Swift Current early Sunday morning, that injured three officers, and led to charges against a man and a youth.
