Severe thunderstorm warning in effect for several RMs in the southwest

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas:

• R.M. of Frontier including Frontier and Claydon
• R.M. of Lone Tree including Climax and Bracken
• R.M. of Val Marie including Val Marie Orkney and Monchy
• R.M. of White Valley including Eastend and Ravenscrag

As of 3:13 p.m., Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail, and heavy rain.

A line of severe thunderstorms currently west of Frontier are moving to the east-southeast at approximately 40 km/h.
