Saskatchewan provincial parks are helping campers get the most of their July long weekend by offering free entry on July 1st.

Visitors are encouraged to stop at the entry gate or park office to pick up a commemorative post card, which can be displayed as a vehicle entry permit.

The two parks in the southwest region included are Sask Landing Provincial Park, and Cypress Hills Inter-Provincial Park.

Sask Landing will have day-long events for campers in attendance, among which are a Bike Parade, and Beach Party.

As for Cypress Hills, an equally busy day with events like a pancake breakfast, bike parade and face painting, Canada Day Ceremony, and beach sand sculpture building.
