A second presumptive case of COVID-19 has been announced in the province.

For those unaware, a 'presumptive' case of COVID-19 refers to an individual who has tested positive for the virus at the provincial level, but whose results have not yet been confirmed by Canada's national lab.

Like the first case that was announced yesterday, this second case is in Saskatoon. The individual who has contracted the virus is a gentleman in his sixties who travelled from Oregon State, arriving in Saskatoon on March 10.

The Sask Health Authority says the man felt under the weather, and immediately self-isolated at home - therefore, health officials are not expecting that he was in contact with many people.

Premier Scott Moe is currently holding a press conference regarding the ongoing COVID-19 situation along with Health Minister Jim Reiter and Saskatchewan Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Saqib Shahab.

As a preventative measure, Shahab has ordered that no gatherings of over 250 people take place.

As of yet, this does not include schools, universities or workplaces.
