Southwest General Motors dealers will be spared in the company's plans to reduce its dealerships.

GM announced earlier this week that it will cut nearly half of their dealership network in Canada by 2011, but they have not made public what those dealers are.

Managers at Standard Motors in Swift Current, Shaunavon GM, and Murray GM in Maple Creek have all confirmed that they will stay open.

However, there are reports that three dealerships in the province will close.  They are Reid Motors in Outlook, Owens and Sweitzer in Eston, and Mountain Motors in Strasbourg.
