In the June 17 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting 94 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 94 new cases there are 4 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North East zone, 9 in the North West zone, 7 in the North Central zone, 5 in the North East zone 25 in the Saskatoon zone, 11 in the Central West zone, 2 in the Central East zone, 9 in the Regina zone, 7 in the South Central zone, and 4 in the South East zone.

There are 3 new cases in the South West zone, all in the South West subzone 2.

One Saskatchewan resident tested positive, but was not previously included in the total cases. They are now added to the total case count.

There are 7 new cases with pending residence information.

One case with pending residence information has been assigned to the South East zone.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 48,220, of which 752 are considered active.

There are 22 active cases in the South West zone - 3 in the South West subzone 1, and 19 in the South West subzone 2.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 75 (6.1 new cases per 100,000 population).

No new deaths are reported today. An individual in the 80+ age group in Regina previously listed as fatal is now being listed as resolved, correcting the total COVID-19 related deaths in the province to 561.

There are 70 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 46,907.

There are 87 people in the hospital. Seventy-eight are receiving inpatient care -  1 in the Far North West zone, 10 in the North West zone, 8 in the North Central zone, 29 in the Saskatoon zone, 3 in the Central East zone, 21 in the Regina zone, 3 in the South Central zone, and 2 in the South East zone.

There is 1 person receiving inpatient care in the South West zone.

There are 9 people in intensive care - 6 in the Saskatoon zone, and 3 in the Regina zone.

To date, 895,631 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there were 2,301 C OVID-19 tests processed.

As of June 16 there were a total of 11,847 variants of concern cases identified by screening in the province - 288 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North Central zone, 80 in the Far North East zone, 756 in  the North West zone, 597 in the North Central zone, 79 in the North East zone, 2,056 in the Saskatoon zone, 141 in the Central East zone, 4,760 in the Regina zone, 875 in the South Central zone, and 1,114 in the South East zone.

There is a total of 398 in the South West zone.

There are 68 screened variants of concern cases with residence pending.

No  new lineage results are reported.

Of the 6,443 variants of concern cases with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing, 6,134 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 231 are Gamma (P.1), 68 are Delta (B.1.617.2), and 10 are Beta (B.1.351).

In the Weekly Monitoring Report for Children and Youth 0 to 19 years of age, for the week of  May 31 to June 6, there were a total of 403 active cases in children and youth, 2 of those with location/residence information unavailable. Breaking that down, there are 15 in the Far North West zone, 27 in the Far North East zone, 44 in the North West zone, 41 in the North Central zone, 7 in the North East zone, 4 in the Central West zone, 13 in the Central East zone, 101 in the Saskatoon zone, 60 in the Regina zone, 45 in the South Central zone, and 27 in the South East zone.

There are 17 cases reported in the South West zone -4 in the South West subzone 1, and 13 in the South West subzone 2.

For the week of June 2-15, the only outbreak in the South West area was at The Hodgeville School.

An additional 15,402 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered to 937,737.

Of those 15,402 vaccine doses given, there were 324 administered in the South West zone.

Seventy-nine per cent of those over the age of 40, 74% of those over 30, 69% of those over 18, and 68% of those over 12 have received their first vaccine dose.

Saskatchewan is expecting another 89,880 doses of Moderna this week.

Pfizer is adjusting their scheduled delivery for Canada for the month of July. The company recommitted to deliver a total of 9.1 million vaccine doses in July, with the first 2 weeks of the month seeing lower allocations than originally projected. Any impact on the allotment of vaccine for the province is still to be determined.
