The Swift Current 57's slayed the giants from the southeast again yesterday afternoon at Mitchell Field, snapping the Weyburn Beavers' 16-game winning streak.

Homers and multi-RBI games from both catcher Tanner Holen and first baseman Jack Large helped the 57's edge the Beavers 6-5.

Reliever Aaron Pugh earned the win, with one hit and no runs over the fourth and fifth innings, while Garrett Alexander got the four-inning save, allowing just three hits.

The Beavers now sit at 16-3 on the season after the prolific winning streak. Two of those three losses have been at the hands of the 57's, who are now at 12-8 on the 2019 campaign.

Swift Current has the day off today, and are next in action Tuesday night at home against the Moose Jaw Miller Express (10-9).
