Yesterday in Ottawa, Question Period in the House of Commons began with Liberal Leader, Stephane Dion, grilling the government on the environment.

Conservative Cypress Hills MP, David Anderson, says the Liberals don’t have a great track record when it comes to controlling climate change.

Anderson says the Conservatives have backed away from the Kyoto Protocol, but have invested in projects that generate electricity by wind, solar and other forms of renewable energy.

They also plan to spend millions to encourage homeowners, businesses and industry to use energy more efficiently.

Anderson says the Conservative government is focusing on preparing next month’s federal budget, justice bills, senate reform and healthcare wait-time guarantees.

Anderson says, for himself, he’s helping to develop what he calls "the next generation of agriculture policy."
