With another year in the books the Chinook School Division held their annual General Meeting earlier in the week.

"I thought it went very well," said Director of Education Liam Choo-Foo. "For us certainly the highlights would centre around our learning agenda, where we again saw a 6% growth in the scores of our balanced literacy program and in the first year of our math momentum program we saw an 11% growth for our students here in the Southwest."

Choo-Foo added that Chinook is at or above the expected education levels compared to other school divisions around the province.

He also noted that after seven years Chinook is entering into a time of tweaking and improving exsisting procedures and programs all ready in place, rather then complete overhauls or new ones being introduced.
