Get your hot rods out and head down to market square tomorrow for the 10th annual Cruisin show and shine.

Registration begins at 8 am and the event will run from 9:30-2:30 with judging beginning at 12:30 on the 200 block of 1st NE

Tim Marcus from the City of Swift Current provides some details on the special awards being handed out to the winners this year.

"We've had a series of dash plaques in the past but we made up seven this year that are 10th-anniversary plaques. There's one given out to every entrant but the winners of the various categories will each get a framed set of plaques that each have 10th anniversary on them so they will get a complete set."

Participants are encouraged to bring a donation to the food bank in lieu of any payment.

Ed Fonger from the City of Swift Current provides some insight into the categories including two new ones added this year.

"Two new classes are best truck pre/post 76. So we added these along with the other ones we've got pre 76 Ford/GM/Mopar, post 76 Ford/GM/Mopar, special interest, we've always got the work in progress class so anyone that has one in the garage bring it on out."

Other categories include best motorcycle North American, foreign and vintage, best foreign car, best muscle car, longest distance traveled, and people's choice and participants choice.

As in the past 12 lucky participants will also be featured in the annual 2022 Cruisin calendar.

Registration can be done online here or by calling Trudy at 306-774-5741.
