DoP Back of Shirt1

The Red Cross Day of Pink is coming up on April 1st, and Swift Current residents have the chance to purchase their own pink shirts for the occasion.

The shirts are a darker pink colour than in previous years, and features the statement "Imagine No Bullying" printed on the back.

Community Outreach Coordinator for the Canadian Red Cross, Dwinell Stevenson, says the new pink shirt design has been very popular this year.

"We're nearly sold out, I'm going to say our Regina office is probably sold out, so I'm just trying to sell the last bit that I have in stock here in the southwest," she said. "The schools are doing a lot of their own events, which is great to see. We've always had a really great response from the schools in Swift Current. As far as for the general public, we just really encourage everyone to wear their pink, help draw awareness to bullying issues, and encourage everyone else to join that movement to make bullying a thing of the past."

Red Cross will be set up at the Newcomer Welcome Center tomorrow selling shirts from noon until 5:30pm.
