Swift Current's Mrs. Ragnhild Cory celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday. Cory was originally born in Norway but moved to a farm just south of Swift Current when she married.

After her husband passed, she later sold the farm, remarried and moved to Swift Current.

David Nordsveens, the grandson of Cory talked about what was his grandma's key to hitting the century mark.

"She stayed healthy, and the biggest thing is that she never really worried about stuff, the little things never bothered her," he said.
"She just kind of took things with a grain of salt and made life the best out of whatever situation came to her."

Around 50 friends and family gathered at the Prarie View Lodge to celebrate this remarkable feat.
