The Cypress Health Region is looking at a portion of $5 million in funding that is being made available by the province's Health Quality Council.

CEO of the Cypress Health Region, Jim Hornell says they're hoping to hear from the Council in the coming weeks to determine the funding, which could be making its way here.  He's expecting to hear details on the evaluation process in June.  He says the Health Quality Council is looking to work with Regional Health Authorities and embark on a training program to build capacity.

Hornell adds that the funding is to be used to help improve the quality of health services in the health regions.
