February is Heart and Stroke Month, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be out in the community to help raise funds and awareness.

Bev MacLaurin, Campaign Coordinator for Swift Current, says, thanks to help from City Council, they will be launching the month next week, with the proclamation of the week starting January 30th as Launch Heart Month Week.

MacLaurin says they have a lot of activities planned for the first week, including selling 50/50 tickets at the Broncos game on February 3rd.  They will also be at the malls giving out information, accepting donations, and selling raffle tickets on February 6th.  They also have their canvassers out going door-to-door throughout the city.  She adds, if no one comes to your house and you would like to make a donation, you can stop by a number of banks in the city.

MacLaurin adds that if people would like to volunteer, they can call her at 773-1236.
