The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities will converge in Saskatoon next month.

SARM will be holding their annual convention with a number of issues currently planned for discussion.

President of SARM, David Merritt, says among the topics to be brought up will be the status of rural schools, and their futures in smaller communities.

Merritt adds with the NDP Government set to release their annual budget, he doesn't expect any big announcements when the Premier takes the stage to present a speech.

Approximately 2000 delegates are expected to take in the convention, which runs March 13-15.
