Sweeping it Clean!

During the Spring and Summer months the Town of Shaunavon staff works hard to keep local streets and avenues clean and free of dust and debris.

Residents may have already noticed the Street Sweeper out working...the entire town has been swept once and another major sweep will happen in July right before Boomtown Days. Otherwise streets are one as needed throughout the summer.

Director of Public Works for the Town of Shaunavon, Brian Earl, says signs are posted 24 hours in advance of sweeping being done in your area and they ask that all vehicles be moved off the street. Vehicles not moved could be towed.

Earl adds that the Street Sweeper usually starts with the downtown area first, Center Street and Third Avenue, then works out by street and avenue after that.
