Griffin Wilson of Swift Current has some work to do in the second round of the 109th Saskatchewan Amateur Men's Championship in Warman today.

The Swift Current Golfer shot a plus-5 77 in the first round, hitting 8 bogeys and only 3 birdies.

That score puts him 10 strokes behind the leader, which is currently a tie between 2016 champion Ty Campbell of Saskatoon and Justin Wood of Unity, both of whom shot a solid 5-under 67.

Wilson tees off this morning for round two at 11:20 am.

Meanwhile, On the women's side, Saskatchewan Junior girls champion Brooklin Fry sits tied for third place with both Autumn Neiszner of Regina and Sarah Grieve of Saskatoon, all of whom were top three finishers from last week's Junior Golf Championship tournament in Swift Current.

Fry, Nieszner and Grieve all shot a plus-6, 80 to sit two strokes behind the leaders; a race between Kathy Ziglo of Saskatoon and Ella Kozak of Yorkton.

The women's side tees off for round two beginning at 9 am.
