After four weeks of practice, some exhibition games, and preparation, the Home Hardware Legionnaires are ready to host the Living Sky Casino Telus Cup Regional Tournament.

The Legionnaires host the tournament beginning next Thursday, as they welcome the respective League champions from Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northern Ontario.

This past weekend, the Legionnaires played three exhibition games in Calgary against the Edge Academy.  The Legionnaires recorded all three victories.

Forward Andy Blanke knows they are just a few wins away from advancing to the National AAA Midget championship, and it has the whole team excited for the opportunity.  "It's a dream come true for all of us.  I'm excited, everyone is ready in the dressing room to go.  I'm sure we will all be super-excited for the tournament."

The Legionnaires play their first game of the tournament next Thursday at the Credit Union iplex.

Last night, the Notre Dame Hounds captured the Saskatchewan AAA Midget championship, completing the sweep of the Beardy's Blackhawks.  They will represent Saskatchewan in the tournament.
