It was a mostly successful weekend in Swift Current AA Hockey action.

All three AA Broncos squads were in action, while the U15 Wildcats would host the Prairie Storm at Fairview East.

The U13 Southwest Terminal Broncos took to the road, heading to Weyburn to face the struggling Wings, who would enter the weekend 0-6 on their season. The Broncos would walk away with both victories in shutouts; 9-nil on Saturday and 8-nil on Sunday.

They'd throw 91 total shots against Wings goaltenders in both games, while the Swift Current Blue Line would step up; holding Weyburn to 38 in the shutouts.

The 15 Pure Chem squad would grab a win over the struggling Notre Dame Hounds on Saturday at Fairview West, riding strong performances from Parker Rondeau and Wesley Olson to a 7-2 win.

They'd face a tougher test on Sunday however, as the second-place Prairie Storm would roll into Fairview West fresh off a high-scoring win against the Regina Aces.

Parker Rondeau would strike in the first, and a blank second period would give way to a back and forth third. the Storm would pull ahead on a pair of timely power-play markers from Isaac Poll and Kale Johns. Jace Egland would tie it up, and a flurry of goals in a two-minute span would send the game to overtime, where Jonah Pinel would bury the winner against Berney Weston to give the Storm the 4-3 win.

The U18 Abbey Resource squad was the lone unsuccessful outing, falling to the Regina Vics on Saturday in a close 3-2 contest.

Over on the women's side of the ice, only the U15 Graphic Edge Wildcats were in action on the weekend, as they hosted the Prairie Storm Lightning in a doubleheader.

They'd secure their first win of a troubled season on Saturday, riding to the win on the back of a strong 3-0 shutout performance by Mikaela Johnston.

In the Sunday rematch, the Storm would strike first early in the second period, but Kyla Benjamin would tie it up for the Wildcats midway through the frame on a power-play feed from Abbey Arntsen. The Storm would reclaim the lead in the last few seconds of the frame, but Kaylee Williams would put in a shorthanded marker early in the third to re-tie the game. Both teams would end up settling for the 2-all tie.

Next up for the Wildcats, they'll be heading to Dodsland to take on the Northwest Sharks with the hopes of keeping their strong play alive.
