CTV Hometown Tour in Eastend

The Spring Edition of the CTV Hometown Tour arrives in Eastend today.

Chosen as one of five participating communities in the province, Eastend will welcome the CTV crew with a smoky on a bun lunch at the school. Following lunch, the group will visit a number of sites in and around Eastend, and finish the day off with a community supper at the Rec Center and a live broadcast of the CTV News at Six.

Shannon Morris from the Eastend Chamber of Commerce said they have a number of stops in the town.

"We're going up to the T. rex Centre," said Morris. "If we have time, we'd like to go to Jones Peak. We also want to go to the Stegner House, the Historical Museum in town and the Wilkinson Observatory."

Morris added that instead of one, they had several people in the community nominate Eastend for the Tour.
