A good crowd was on hand last night to hear from the Chinook School Board at a public meeting in Neville.

The school in Neville recently being placed under review by the Division, after failing to reach student benchmarks, which could see a grade discontinuence for the school, or even closure in the future.

The floor was later opened up to parents and residents to express their concerns to the board, as well as request that the board look into scenarios, and other pertinent information.

Chinook will now wait until May 7 to make a decision on Neville School's future, however a followup meeting is set for March 7 to consult more with the community.

Tonight, the board meets in Admiral for a notification meeting in that community at 7:00 pm.
The public is invited to attend that meeting as well.
